Allopurinol hypersensitivity syndrome
Abstract
A 32-year-old male presented to the hospital with odynophagia and generalized, maculopapular rash on the trunk and extremities, with pruritus, lasting seven days. The patient was taking allopurinol. Corticosteroids were applied with good results. The biopsy was compatible with drug hypersensitivity syndrome.
